End of the Year Favorites! (and there is a lot)
Today is obv the last day of the year, duh. This year I have finally learned to appreciate the beauty of it, how to apply it, eyebrows. importance of skincare. etc. This year I have had so many favorites, let's break it down, shall we? In no random order, of course. I'm pretty sure there might be maybe a few more, but I can't think of them right now lol, these are my absolute favorite of this year. Can't wait to see what next year brings.
Real Techniques Bold Metals
Let's talk about this packaging though, just take a moment to appreciate it! :) They have truly outdone themselves. I first seen them on IG that they had them at Ulta, now you can find them on Ulta's website. I think they might be exclusive there only. The rose gold brushes are "finish" gold is "base" and platinum are "eyes". Prices for the rose gold and gold are $25.99 and the platinum are $15.99. A lot more pricier than their original line, but can you blame the prices? These prices are a bit high, and I just purchased some Sigma brushes, but I think I might need these, if you know what I mean ;)

Fit Girls Guide! You Ready?
Yes Im starting the 28 day jumpstart challenge! I want to look great this upcoming year! I want to stop bad habits and start with the good! :) Wish me luck. I was super inspired by the after pics she has posted on her Instagram! http://fitgirlsguide.com/ Here is her link if anyone intrested! Wish me luck! :)
E.L.F New Skincare Line!
If you seen on their Instagram, E.L.F is coming out with their new skincare line! Say what!? This is good news, right? Seeing that a lot of their products are super affordable and the quality is overall pretty good. I see from the picture below they are coming out with: Illuminating eye cream, nourishing night cream, hydrating primer, daily hydration moisturizer, and soothing serum. Not bad if you ask me. and the packaging looks so pretty like an actual skincare line. I hope the prices are decent like their makeup lines are! Can't wait for the arrival!

Kate Moss SCANDALEYES
I have never really been a big fan of Rimmel London mascara's but this wand is funky cool. It claims to give volume & lift and no clumps. The wand is pretty big, nothing to crazy though. I love the silver tube, looks awesome and her signature on there with red is a classic. I haven't tried this out just yet, I will on a later post. Just wanted to give you the scoop and how it looks.
Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom
This year, Maybelline has outdone themselves. First the Buffs, Nudes, Creamy Mattes and now Pastel.. I loved all the lipsticks that came out this year. They have been super creamy, pigmented and nice colors. I got the colors: Orchid Ecstasy, Barely Bloomed, Lilac Flush and Petal Pink. I love the names. Just like the rest of the lipsticks, creamy and pigmented, I do recommend, although this is an odd time to release pastel, maybe in Spring time, but who cares right? Love the pink packaging, a nice pastel pink. Pick them up, they are out at Wal-Greens, well at least mine is. My favorite colors are Barely Bloomed and Lilac Flush, they are colors I have not seen yet out in the drugstore and Barely Bloomed looks awfully similar to Cosmopop from Lime Crime.
L'OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte Line and Lipglosses.
I love when new stuff come out especially if they are amazing. I have oily prone skin, you might know this from my previous posts. I was excited to see this come out from L'OREAl, especially because I love the True Match. So when I seen this I was excited.
The foundation is supposed to be Demi-Matte Finish and Air-Light, Oil-Free. Hm I like what I read so far. This foundation is liquidy, almost just like the True Match. It has an odd smell to it, but tolerable, it definenly is a medium coverage, and it dries real quick. On the back it says to apply to skin in a rolling motion, whatever that means. The powder, just like any other powder, 16-HR Matte finish, yes it is matte, but Im not sure if to combine the two, especially if they are both supposed to help you be matte. I fear of looking cakey.
The new lip products do not have a name to them. They had several colors and i picked up Neverending Nutmeg, and Everlasting Carmel, this dries really quick to last long im assuming, and it also is dual ended that comes with a balm to apply over so it not to dry. It has no smell to them, it's okay. Not too impressed with it, they are nicely pigmented though.
Brand New Finds from COVERGIRL CC Cream, Lipsticks, and Eyeshadows.
Here are some finds at my local Wal-Greens. They came out with some new CC cream, lip products and eyeshadows, let's jump right in, shall we?
The lip prodcut has the same packaging as their previous lipsticks, metallic finish. They had 3 color schemes, red, nude and pinks. The usuals. First the smell is disgusting, smells lke burnt plastic. I can tolerate a lot of things, but that smell, is a big let-down. They are going back. The colors are a bit sheer, you have to do several swipes for any color to show. I got the colros Caramel Kiss, Dulce de Leche, Delicious and Verve Violet.
The eyeshadow qual looks awfully familiar to the Maybelline one's right? it thought so, to me they have the sane color pay off, nothing wowed me about them really, Im more of a light/medium, and maybe with a good primer these will show up beautifully, but they are really nothing to be crazy about.
Now the picture below was up on the ghigh shelf, so there was no way of reaching these. I sorta like the gold packaging to these, I would really like to try out the CC cream, as a mother, sometimes you need something light for the face. I can't be all glammed up just to get some milk, right? I do see they do no have a good variety of color selection. what a shame.

Shade + Light Conour by Kat Von D
I never use to contour or bronze, maybe highlight just a tad, but now I'm all about it! I love how my face looks once I have bronzed or contoured! Here is a new contour palette that is yet to come out in January and it is by Kat Von D. Shade + Light Contour, that is what it's called. It looks super gorgeous. This is supposedly permanent and this palette is shade "light" I just purchased the Anastasia Contour Palette, and I love it, a lot! For bronzing I use my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, and it is heavenly. I know, I should probably use my Anastasia palette up, but I know if I don't get this when it comes out, it will be sold out for a very long time, and nobody got's time to stalk the website, "aint nobody got time for that" lol. What do you guys think, Yay or Nay? Price on Sephora is $46. I think VIB and VIB Rogue will have first access too this, if I believe.
Shade names from top to bottom left to right.
Lucid (pinkish nude) Lyric (yellow beige) Levitation (soft peach)
Sombre (true taupe) Shadowplay (soft brown) Subconscious ( deep brown)
Morphe Palette & Jaclyn Hils
Many of you Jaclyn Hill lovers probably now this by now but she collaborated with Morphe (mor-phee) and came out with a palette. If you have no idea who she is, she's one of many successful YouTubers who has a beauty channel. As you can see from the palette, there happens to be a lot of transition shades which is fantastic, but I wish they had maybe only 5 of them. The forest green shade looks really awkward on the palette in my opinion, it's the one color that stands out for me. This has a mix of shimmers and mattes. I love the top row, pretty sheen colors, hopefully pigmented shades.
Now many Morphe palettes are no more than $23. Now let's see at what price this is. I have never seen her use any Morphe shadows. so I'm up in the air with this palette. Why jump on something and brand your name if you do not know if it good quality, in general, but in this case, I have heard nothing but good reviews on Morphe shadows so maybe she did a good thing here.

Sephora Birthday Gift 2015
This year Birthday gift from Sephora is.....the.....Nars, this looks super exciting, unlike the one we had this year from Make-Up Forever, the items were not cool this year. I can't wait, I have only been shopping from Sephora this past summer, well in May when it was my Birthday month and I received it and I was not impressed, by the way i was just a Beauty Insider, so you do not need to be in a certain level to get your Birthday gift and o purchase is necessary, which is good. Let's just sit back and appreciate the colors for this year. :)

Nars Audacious Lipsticks
I just want them all! I have yet to try them but the price is $32! My gosh the price is outrageous, are they even worth it? You can seriously but 2 mac lipsticks for one of these lipsticks but I have heard nothing but good things about them!
COVERGIRL Ultra Smooth Foudation
If you haven't seen this at your local drugstore, then you might here soon, COVERGIRL came out with a new foundation that tames down you peach fuzz on your face. It comes with an applicator to apply the foundation. I wanted to purchase this and do a fair review, but I am not able to since I remove my facial hair, yes it's disgusting but i do remove it. any thoughts on this foundation? I have seen maybe 8-10 shades, which is an okay color selection, I have seen a video on this, and from what I heard that it is really sticky, maybe because it helps smooth down the hair, but to be honest, before I removed my facial hair, I never had a problem with my peach fuzz being that noticeable.

GlamGlow Daily Cleanser Mud to Foam
I know this is horrific to see but look at the after picture, I cannot believe it either, this is my forehead, and I have had acne issues since having my pretty girl :) and I got on the Nexplanon which had hormones and side effects include acne, boy did I not think it was going to affect me what so ever, but it did. I have received the Glam Glow SuperCleanse Daily, that is a mud to foam thing. It smells like black licorice, no joke, but that is something that of course is tolerable, especially if it helped my skin by a lot.
I stopped using my Witch Hazel, African Black Soap, everything and just used this, to see if this alone can do the job, and boy it did. I have used if for less than a week, since last Thursday, I've been using if daily after removing my make-up. It has a tingly effect which is lovely. So if anyone suffering from something similar to this, give it a try and it's a fraction of the price than the Glam Glow Mud that comes in a jar. I love this!
Battle of the Brows.
This summer-winter has been a big imporve in the brow departments by a lot. Yes they have brow pencils, but finally they have brow gels, These are 3 that came out this year, they are each different in every way. Let's get started.
Maybelline Brow Drama: They have 3 colors, Blonde, Soft Brown and Dark Brown. It obviously has a ball shaped brush, I do not know what purpose it serves, and then it has a thin brush like handle to it, and I don't know what the purpose of that is. If you have full brows, this might be okay for you, it is a big no-no for sparse brows, it lighlty tints them and these make your brows flake, like no, that is not what I want.
L'OREAL Brow Stylist Plumper: They have 3 shades, Blonde, Dark Brunette and Transparent. It has a nice small brush for your brows, easy to apply, it really combs the brows and does an okay job in setting them, very similar to Benefit Gimme Brows as far as the brush shape goes. This does a wonderful job filling in the sparse areas. I highly recommend this. it is also nice having a transparent shade, especially for those who prefer to style their brows their way and just need to set them down. I really love this product.
Hard Candy Brows Now!: This has two shades: Blonde and Dark Brown, this product also comes with a highlight end to highlight your brow bone which is nice but I have never used it since its way too shimmery for my taste. This brush contains fibers for a more natural look and to help achieve an arch, which in my opinion does no good, a little too scratchy if you have sparse brows, this contains too much product on the brush even if you try and scrape it off, this also makes your brows look way too dark, nothing natural about it. It claims to be buildable for natural looking brows. I literally have to wipe the brush off because it contains to much product, in my opinion.
So from Best to Worst: L'OREAL, Maybeline and Hard Candy.
Wal-Mart Beauty Box: Update
Finally after months, this is what came in the mailbox, yes it took forever, as you can see below they have sent samples sized products such as Aveeno, Dove, Burt's Bee, also fragrance samples of Flower perfume, which smells delightful, a L'OREAL shampoo/conditioner samples and a full sized Cover Girl lip gloss in the shade "Candy" which smells so good, the color is alright, not bad for $5. Just remember this box was suited to my age range, someone in a different age range will get something suited in their age range.
Provocalips by Rimmel London, Found.
If nobody can't find any new drugstore items, like at Wal-Greens, search for them at the top shelf, the shelves where products are unreachable, that is where they have them. The reason being is that they have Christmas stuff out occupying the shelves. That is where I have been finding a lot of my recent finds. Here is one that I found today.
These claim to be kiss proof for 16 hours, we will have to see about that, but they do have a nice variety of the usual colors, although I do wish they had a violet color, but any who. These are exciting to try, I have yet to swatch, smell and test! Keep you updated! :)

Chocolate Bars
Here is a side by side comparison of the two chocolate bars by Too Faced. Look how gorgeous they are, not I own both and let me tell you, I don't know which one I adore more, heck, I have room in my heart for both, no joke. The Semi-Sweet has a lot of brows, nice transition shades, and yes it has the beautiful blue which stands out, and it is nicely pigmented. The purple shade from the first palette isn't very pigmented so when I seen the blue I thought it was going to be the same, well done Too Faced. Do I recommend you getting this palette, of course I do. Why? First and foremost you can't have enough browns/neutrals, smells like chocolate, nicely pigmented, and yes its from Too Faced.
First Impressions
I don't know about you, but I don't like first impression videos, are blogs, I don't think a first impressions is even worthy. To me, it takes about a week or so to try out the product, apply it differently, get the right shade, etc, etc. The reason why I say this is because when I first purchased the Revlon ColorStay and L'OREAL True Match, I hated them. Why? Because something about them didn't set right, maybe it was the way I was applying it? As for the True Match, I got a shade to light which made me hate it, when I got the right shade, it was a forever situation, no joke, I love it, no high end formula is even comparable, it's light-weight, blendable, medium coverage, a good color selection. Love it, So see, it took a while to love those two. I think it takes a while to really do an honest review on any product that you are skeptical about, like there are some things that just have an awful smell to them, but that doesn't mean the product itself is terrible in face it could very well be the opposite.

"Spring 2015" by Too Faced
New items from Too Faced, just look at that gold packaging for the mascara, can they get any more creative, I'm excited for this. I hope this is a success as the Better Than Sex Mascara (clever name by the way!)
They also teamed up with some of YouTube gurus with their new lipstick mafia and they came out with some brand new colors, I love some of their names, Sugar, Jelly Donut, Red Velvet and Chihuahua, Villian and Strawberry, so excited for them to come out.

Soul Mates by Too Faced
Why do this to me? I think this year Too Faced had a good year! I have yet to receive my Semi-Sweet palette, I found this after soul searching through the internet and stumbled across this. Soul Mates by Too Faced. These come out in Spring 2015. The shades are Carrie & Big and Ross & Rachel also limited edition for $34. They bronzer seems to have a bit of shimmer and the middle is a blush. What are your thoughts on this?
